Directions to the IBC Sadao Campus (Songklhla)
There are a number of ways to travel to International Buddhist College in Songkhla, Thailand but we strongly recommend you to buy tickets from your country to Hat Yai, with a domestic connection from Bangkok to Hat Yai.
1. By Air
For those travels from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, US and European Countries will arrive at the Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport. There is then a connection by domestic Thai Smile flight to Hat Yai Airport. (https://www.thaismileair.com)
For those travels from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and China will arrive at the Bangkok Don Meung International Airport. There is then a connection by the following airlines: Air Asia (https://www.airasia.com), Thai Lion Air (https://www.lionairthai.com/en) and Nok Air (https://www.nokair.com) to Hat Yai Airport.
There are some direct flights to Hat Yai Airport by Orient Thai (Malaysia, Indonesia), Scoot (Singapore), Malindo (Penang) and Air Asia (China, Kunming to Hat Yai).
There is a new Airport mini bus runs from the Airport to Hat Yai bus terminal that costs 60 Bahts.
Then take the Padang Besar van which stops in front of the IBC main gate, it costs 50 Bahts.
The taxi fare from Airport to IBC is around 500 Bahts.
2. By Train
Take the taxi From Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok Central Hua Lamphong main train station. Buy the train ticket from Bangkok to Khlong Ngae station.The journey takes about 15 hours of travelling.
From Don Meung Airport, it takes about 5 minutes walks to the Don Meung Train station, then take the train to Bangkok Central Hua Lamphong main train station. Then buy the train ticket from Bangkok to Khlong Ngae station.
You can book the train ticket in advance from the State Railway of Thailand, http://www.railway.co.th/main/index_en.html and https://www.busonlineticket.co.th to ensure your seat.
3. By Bus/Coach
From Suvarnabhumi Airport, takes the taxi to Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal (Khon Song Sai Tai orขนส่งสายใต้ in Thai). Then get a ticket to Hat Yai Bus Terminal, it takes about 12 hours. For online advance booking and ticket info details, visit https://www.busonlineticket.co.th
At the Hat Yai Bus terminal there is a van service to Padang Besar which stops in front of IBC main road. It costs around 50 Baht.
From Don Meung Airport, please take the taxi to Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal, (Khon Song Sai Tai or ขนส่งสายใต้ in Thai). Then buy ticket to Hat Yai Bus Terminal.
**For IBC new students, our Administrative Personnel will assist you if you have any problem with booking the tickets. IBC staff will come personally to Hat Yai Airport to receive and take you safely to IBC. For person to help and pick up, please call Bro. Khoo at 08-1748-9380.
