An introduction to Theravāda Tipiṭka, with an emphasis on a historical survey of the division of the Buddha’s Teachings into Tipiṭaka, aa the system of transmission of the Tipiṭaka from time to time, structure and main points of the Tipiṭaka. Special topics in Vinaya, Suttanta and Abhidhamma Piṭaka are included.
