2013 Mother’s Day Celebration
On Saturday, August 17, 2013, the International Buddhist College (IBC) and Klintiendharm Foundation celebrated the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit - who is lovingly adopted as the Mother of all Thais - and the National Mother's Day. Under the umbrella of the Language and Moral Weekend School, the children and parents from the communities around IBC celebrated together with IBC.
IBC took this opportunity to officially open the Language and Moral Weekend School with the aim to teach Basic English and Buddhist Principles to the local community surrounding IBC.
The celebration began at 8.30 am with a religious ceremony: Lighting of lamps, paying homage to triple gem and observing five precepts. Ven. Zhen Chan, Director for Administrative Affair delivers his speech. The ceremony continues with series of activities till 10.00 am.
IBC as well as Klintiendharm Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank all volunteering teacher of the Language and Moral Weekend School as well as the organizing member Ven. Jhonny Putthilath, Ven. Khamdee Vilaysack, Ven. Fussadhaza, Ven. Aloun Thanomchit, Ven. Jointu for their hard work and commitment to plant the seeds of good deed to those children. Thanks to Ven.
