( IBC May 21, 2008 ) To reward everybody’s hard work for the year, IBC made special arrangements for staff and volunteers to visit Than Hsiang Temple in Malaysia, and participate in the Vesak Day celebrations.

For a period of four days and three nights the trip consisted of visits to Than Hsiang Temple and a number of other temples and resorts in Penang. The most important activities included:
(1) Phor Tay High School fund-raising - "Bodhi Nite"
(2) Vesak Day ceremony and float parade

It was the first time for our participation in the "Bodhi Nite" and Vesak Day floats procession. Our Thai staff and dharma friends were very happy!
